Delete Your BookNaKo Account

This page explains how to permanently delete your BookNaKo account, what happens to your data when you do, and what we are required to keep.

The fastest way is inside the app

If you still have BookNaKo installed, delete your account yourself from Settings → Delete account. It takes effect immediately, needs no email, and requires no waiting. Use the email route below only if you have already uninstalled the app or cannot sign in.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app

  1. Open BookNaKo and sign in.
  2. Tap the settings icon.
  3. Scroll to Delete account.
  4. Read the confirmation screen and confirm.

Your account is erased as soon as you confirm. You are signed out and will not be able to sign in again with that phone number.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If the app is uninstalled or you cannot sign in, email us and we will delete the account for you.

  1. Email support@booknako.com with the subject line Account deletion request.
  2. In the message, include the phone number registered to the account in international format, for example +639171234567. This is the number you use to sign in.
  3. Include your display name (nickname) as it appears in the app, and the name of the venue you play at.
  4. We reply to confirm we received the request, and we verify that the request genuinely comes from the account holder before anything is deleted.

Email a deletion request

How we verify it is really you

We will never delete an account just because someone emailed us and named it. Before we act on an emailed request, we confirm the requester controls the account by at least one of the following:

If we cannot verify ownership, we will refuse the request and tell you why. This is deliberate. It protects you from someone else deleting your account and your booking history. When verification is not possible by email, sign in to the app and use the in-app deletion option instead, which proves ownership automatically.

What is kept, and why

We keep a record of transactions that already happened, because the venue needs them for its own accounting and tax records under Philippine law. These records are anonymized, meaning your name and photo are stripped out and replaced with a placeholder before they are retained.

DataResult
Court bookingsKept and anonymized. Date, time, court, amount and status remain; your name shows as “Deleted user” with no photo.
Space bookingsKept and anonymized, as above
Food and equipment ordersKept and anonymized, as above

These retained records carry a random reference code rather than your identity. The code lets a venue see that several past transactions belonged to one former customer, for accounting purposes, without revealing who that customer was. Because your account, your profile and every membership are deleted, the code cannot be traced back to you.
